Stats Going into Div. Finals

Because our A & B leagues are divided into 2 brackets each and there is some cross-play, tracking your team's overall record can be a bit of a challenge.  To help with that, here is a breakdown of teams records going into Saturday's meet.
Note:  Only play within a team's bracket (A1 vs A1, or B2 vs B2) is being counted in the teams' records below.  These are not their overall match records, only the records within their bracket.  These matches have also been the first 5 matches these teams have played in November and January (October's matches were qualifiers for the season).  Teams will quiz 5 matches against their bracket in February.

A-League  A1
Victory Majors........9-1
Soaring Eagles........9-1
Louisville-A............5-5

February Meet

It's coming soon, the NE Division Finals, and the day will be a bit different than usual. This being our last meet with just the Northeast, we will be going over all the rest of the stats and standings to lead us into the State Meet in March. So we will have stats and results from January's meet, from February's Meet and for the whole season, including trophies, ribbons, and awards.
So the break from the norm of the first three meets is that we will be having awards after the quizzing is all down. Once quizzing is completed there will be a break for about an hour to compile all the stats for the day and the season for the award ceremony at the end.
We have a few surprises for this time to help it go by quicker and will be announcing those in the next couple weeks leading up to the meet, but our end time this month will be later than the earlier meets, so teams need to be aware of this change.

One BIG thing that is happening is our Ultimate Can Contest. This is a food drive to help families through the Garden of Feedin' ministry through our host church, Celebration Church. Teams can bring cans of non-perishable foods and the team that brings the most will receive a $40 MasterCard to spend however that team sees fit--ice cream, pizza, oreos, present for their JBQ section coordinator :), you know, whatever the teams wants to do.
Cans can be brought in at the beginning of the meet and there will be areas labeled for each team to drop their cans off for judging. It's a great opportunity to be putting our quiz knowledge to action to impact our world. CLICK HERE FOR ULTIMATE CAN FLYIER

Lunch Choices for the Feb. Meet are:
Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza, or Hot Dog. Each meal is $3 and comes with 1 slice or hot dog, chips and a drink. Extra slices or dogs can be purchased for $1 more. Ordering Change: To make sure orders are ready for Saturday, we need to get all of our orders in by Wednesday evening, the 16th of Feb.

Seals
If you have quizzers (or coaches/parents/officials) that have earned seals this season, we would like to recognize them at the Feb meet. Please email me with their names and what Seal(s) they have earned this season and we will recognize them. Also, if you let me know everyone who has earned Seals and is attending the State Meet, there they will also receive their official Seal Pin(s) for each Seal completed with everyone from around the state. So even if someone is still working on it after the Feb. meet, you have until the beginning of March to get them completed to be recognized at the State Meet. For more on the requirements of the different Seals, click the link in the menu to the right.

KidzRock USA

To Followup Randy Thompson, missionary to kids, visit this past week, just wanted to pass along the new info-video, "The Top 7 Things For $30".
You know how reviews go, "I laughed, I cried, I had to watch it again!", says the Topeka Auto Dealer

KidzRock USA May 14th 2011

This is one of those rare events that I believe can really draw together masses of kids and impact them in life-changing ways. For that reason I bring it up, not because it is hosted at any particular place or it's certain people, but because I know it can really impact kids' lives.
